Escola d’Arts Plàstiques de Torelló

The School of Arts of Torelló, directed by the illustrator Elisenda Soler, is a public service. On the one hand, it offers an educational program for children, youths and adults. On the other,  it organizes, coordinates and develops a series of cultural activities and projects that usually take place outside of the school with the goal of contributing to the local artistic education.  Many of these activities are commissioned by the city council, like the management of public monuments, the organization and realization of artistic workshops in special holidays. Some others, emerge from the relation with other local rulership (culture, environment, equality…), as well as associations and initiatives like Festus Festival d’Art al Carrer. As we cannot stay quiet, sometimes we organize events ourselves, that can take place in or outside of the school, such as FACTORS (a contemporary arts program), or the radio show LA FESTA (The Party).

My task at the school is to work hand by hand with the director in the ideation of these activities and to ensure their development.
