Quasi veu. Episode 3: “Més Enllà”
24th April, 2021, from 15 to 17h, next to the Modernist House, in the garden of Centre d’Art Tecla Sala, in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Episode 3 of the radio programm Quasi veu.
Quasi veu is an artistic and research project promoted by the Cultural Department of the Catalan Government and the Network of Visual Arts Centres of Catalonia, which is articulated around voice and has three formats: a series of podcasts, artistic interventions at every art centre of the Network, and a web platform. The core of the project is a research group on curatorial tasks composed by Alexandra Laudo, Anna Dot, Oscar Holloway, Andrea Valdés, Fito Conesa, Caterina Almirall and Joan Burdeus. They established the conceptual frame, generated content and selected artists and collaborators. The result of the project are eight episodes of the radioprogramm, and eight Speakers’ Corners, linked to each of the eight centres that conform the Network.
The third episode “Més Enllà”, took place in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, where the proposal took the form of a radio table in the open air, to go to the search for voices from other times which we can discover on their tracks through our nowadays soundscapes. With this idea on mind, the episode dealt with the history of the free radios of the city and the ghosts of the present. It was possible thanks to the participation of artists Ariadna Guiteras, Sitesize, Muntadas, Mercedes Pimiento and Antonio R. Montesinos, and Sons de Barcelona, as well as the radio professionals from l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Marga Solé, Jordi Mèlich, Joan Carles Valero and Francisco Javier Rodríguez Baena.
The conduction of the episode was possible thanks to the care and affection of Caterina Almirall, and the technical help of Xavi Rodríguez Martín and Enrique Doza.
About this episode, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Baena published the article “Contactant amb el ‘més enllà’ radiofònic de l’Hospitalet“, in his webpage Retalls de l’Hospitalet.
